Magda El Haitem is an Associate in the London office of Amsterdam & Partners. She focuses her practice on multi-jurisdictional disputes, International Criminal Law, White-collar Crimes and Human Rights.
Prior to joining Amsterdam & Partners, Magda worked for an international law firm based in Paris, where she was involved in Criminal Law and White-collar Crimes matters. Additionally, she has broad experience in working for various international human rights organisations in the Middle East and North Africa region with a special focus on transitional justice.
Since joining Amsterdam & Partners, Magda has been active in representing clients facing legal, political and human rights cases in Europe, Africa and Asia. Furthermore, she is a member of the firm’s award-winning pro bono practice and has represented clients on issues of political persecution and freedom of speech.
Magda graduated with a Master 1 in International Law from Sorbonne University in Paris, and a Master 2 in Public Law and Law of States Rebuilding in Post-Conflict Situations from Aix-Marseille University.
Magda is a native French speaker and fluent in English. She also speaks and reads Arabic to an intermediate level.
